How to Sew Clips in to Securely Attach Lace Wigs
Extending your hair with hair weave extensions can eventually harm your real hair. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, with extended use, the weight of extensions can lead to a condition called traction alopecia, which can cause natural hair to fall out. In contrast, lace wigs offer length without damage to your natural real hair and scalp. If you recently purchased in a lace wig, you may want to sew clips to the lace wig to ensure it remains securely attached to your natural hair. Such clips are easy to sew on and help to attach your lace wig on head prpperly.
Things You’ll Need:Needle,Thread,a lace front wig or full lace wig.
Steps:
1.Get a sewing needle and thread of the same color as your lace wig.
2.Use 12 inches of the thread for the wig clips each.
3.Arrange the lace wig clips close to the edge of the back hairline and make sure the "teeth" of the clips are facing away from your lace wig,this is more comfortalbe when wearing.
4.You will need three to four hair clips spaced evenly along the hairline starting closest to your temple,this can ensure the unit being firmly attached.
5.Start sewing underneath the wig and make a secure knot. Poke through the other side and go through each hole in the wig clip. When you are at your last hole make another secure knot. Repeat the movements for all wig clips till you consider the lace wig can be securly attached.
